Florissant Man Wins Five Years Free Gas

Story Photo A Florissant man has the kindness of his mother to thank for his full tank of gas - five years worth to be exact.  George Miller, 47, of Florissant was the grand-prize winner of the Missouri Lottery’s "Show Me Cash Free Gas Sweepstakes," which awarded the grand prize winner *five years worth of free gasoline in a drawing on Oct. 14.  The winning ticket was sold at Schnucks Market, 74 Grandview Plaza Shopping Center in Florissant.

Miller, a DHL delivery driver, explained that his mother actually won the grand prize.  The win was no surprise to Miller, because he noted that his mother was the lucky one in the family.

"My mom is always the one who wins," said Miller.  "I’ve helped her financially in the past, so she said if she won the gas, she’d give it to me as a way of repaying me."

Miller, who has family in Florida and Boston, is planning to visit his relatives more often now that he has won five years worth of free gasoline.

"It’s just a blessing from God," said Miller.
