St. Louis Woman Wins "Crossword" Top Prize

A St. Louis woman who is a fan of the "Crossword" Scratchers ticket claimed the top prize of $50,000 on Oct. 14.  Catherine Fowler purchased the winning ticket at 7-Eleven, 260 Hoffmeister in Lemay.
"Crossword," a $3 game with a top prize of $50,000, officially began on August 30.  Players scratch-off a play area to reveal letters that are used to spell words in the Crossword puzzle.  Prizes are awarded based on the number of words that can be created.  Several top prizes remain in this newest version of the popular game.
