$7,000 TICKET UNCOVERED IN SOUTHWEST CITY

An Oklahoma man scratched off a $7,000 prize on a Scratchers ticket he purchased in Southwest City. Ernest "Okie" Oelke, 58, of Miami, Okla., purchased two Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets on Monday night, when he stopped in King’s Convenience Store in Southwest City for chewing tobacco. The $1 "High Roller" Scratchers ticket turned out to be a top prize winner. Oelke, a construction supervisor, said he plans to use some of the money to send his minister on vacation for him and his wife’s 35th wedding anniversary. He also plans to "spoil the grandkids" and save the rest. "High Roller" officially went on sale on April 29.
