Arkansas Man Claims $200,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo An Arkansas realtor received "high fives" and cheers when he scanned his Powerball ticket at Macadoodles, 53 Macadoodle Lane in Pineville, from the Sept. 6 Powerball drawing and discovered he had won $200,000.  William Ross, 58, of Rogers, Ark., used Quick Pick for the winning numbers, which were: 17, 25, 26, 49 and 54.

"I couldn’t believe I had won at first," said Ross.  "I had to put my ticket in the scanner twice to make sure it really was a winner."

Ross, a licensed-realtor in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma, has plans for his windfall.

"I’m a realtor, so I have my eye on a few properties," said Ross.  "I’d like to buy a new home for my family."

Ross, a first-time Lottery winner, claimed his $200,000 prize on Oct. 2.

Powerball is a multi-state game that features jackpots starting at $15 million.  Ross’ ticket was the 113th second-level winning Powerball ticket in Missouri since the game redesign in August 2005.
