MOUNTAIN GROVE WOMAN COOKS UP NEW TRUCK

A cook at China Grove restaurant in Mountain Grove is now the owner of a brand new 2001 Ford F-150 Lariat pickup truck and $500 cash after playing the Missouri Lottery’s new "Truckin’ to Luckytown" Scratchers game. Emma Rose, 24, of Mountain Grove said she bought $5 worth of instant tickets on Saturday, when she stopped in Town & Country Supermarket in Mountain Grove. She scratched off the tickets in the parking lot and discovered she had a big winner. Rose said she currently drives a ’94 Mercury Topaz. She said she isn’t sure if she and her husband, Howard, will keep the truck, but if they do, it will be hers to drive. In addition to the truck and $500 gas money, the Missouri Lottery will pay 4 percent state and 28 percent federal taxes on the prize package. "Truckin’ To Luckytown" officially went on sale June 10.
