Rhineland Woman Wins $5,000 Prize

Story Photo A manager from Rhineland received a $5,000 surprise when she discovered she had won on a Missouri Lottery "Silver & Gold" Scratchers ticket on Oct. 8.  Beverly Kuebler, 59, of Rhineland was taking a break during her shift at Village Market, 2092 Village Lane in Hermann, when she decided to purchase the Lottery ticket.

"I thought I had won $500," said Kuebler.  "I kept scratching, and I was amazed that there were more $500 amounts underneath the first one."

When asked what she planned to do with her winnings, Kuebler noted that she wanted to travel.

"I’m not sure where I want to go yet, but I will probably take a little trip soon," said Kuebler.

"Silver & Gold," a $5 game with a top prize of $100,000, officially began on Aug. 30.
