Holts Summit Woman Wins $10,000 Prize

A Holts Summit woman enjoyed more than a cup of coffee in her home on the morning of Oct. 7.  Deborah Smith, 52, of Holts Summit purchased a Missouri Lottery "100 Million Dollar Blockbuster" Scratchers ticket from Holts Summit 66, 120 Center Street in Holts Summit, and discovered she won a $10,000 prize while sitting at her kitchen table.

Smith, a clerk at House of Bargains in Jefferson City, was surprised that her ticket was a winner.

"I looked at my ticket over and over again to make sure I really had won," said Smith.  "I kept thinking it couldn’t be a winner, but after looking at it so many times, I started to believe it."

When asked about plans for the prize money, Smith noted that she hadn’t made any specific plans.

"I’m just happy to have won," said Smith.  I haven’t thought about what I might do with the prize money yet.

"100 Million Dollar Blockbuster," a $10 game with a top prize of $1 million, officially began on Sept. 27, 2007.
