Queen City Woman Wins $10,000 Prize

You might say it is Vickie Pruett’s lucky week. Pruett, Queen City, won not once, but twice on two different "$250,000 Mega Cash" Scratchers tickets in a matter of days. Pruett’s first win was for $500, but on Sept. 19, her luck increased after discovering she had won $10,000 on another "$250,000 Mega Cash" Scratchers ticket that she purchased from Casey’s, Liberty and Washington, in Lancaster.
Pruett, a mother of two, said she was shocked by the second win.
"I saw that all the numbers were matching, and I just put my hand over my mouth. I was shaking while I scratched off the rest of the numbers," said Pruett. "I didn’t realize just how nervous I was until I tried to get out of my car and my knees buckled."
According to Pruett, she plans to pay off bills with the prize money.
"$250,000 Mega Cash" is a $10 game that features a top prize of $250,000. The ticket began on Jan. 31, 2007, and has several top prizes remaining.
