LOTTERY TO OFFER FIRST LIMITED-TIME NUMBERS GAME
Big winners and great odds are what Missouri Lottery players can expect from the Lottery’s first limited-time numbers game, "$100K Triple Play." The new 13-week game - which offers top prizes of $100,000 tax paid*, $25,000 and $5,000 - will be sold from March 31 through June 30. The first drawing will be Friday, April 7.
The new $2 game was created to offer numbers players a new type of game and play action with characteristics similar to Scratchers games, which have a limited-time offering.
"Our research has indicated that numbers players are wanting something fresh to create some excitement at the terminal," said Scott White, on-line product manager for the Missouri Lottery. "We looked into other games offered by other states and came up with our own unique game that offers the best qualities of several games rolled into one."
"$100K Triple Play" features include:
To play "$100K Triple Play," players can select four numbers between 1 and 51 in Game 1 or let the computer select the four numbers for that set by choosing "Quick Pick." Then, the computer will automatically "Quick Pick" four numbers for each of the next six sets of numbers. To win, a player can match two, three or four numbers in any of the seven sets of four numbers.
*The Missouri Lottery will pay 28 percent federal and 4 percent state withholding taxes for the top prize based on its value. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may be entitled to a refund. Total value of the prize is $147,059. After withholding, winners will receive $100,000.
