St. Louis Woman Scratches $77,000 Winner

Story Photo audio icon An employee of the City of St. Louis stopped for a few things on June 28 and decided to add four "Ruby Red 7’s" Scratchers tickets to her list.  Carol Sears, 56, made her purchase at 7-Eleven, 509 Bates in St. Louis (63111), a location that was on her way, but is quickly becoming a favorite stop.  The fourth ticket she scratched revealed the top prize of $77,000.

"I bought my usual four at a time, like I do, and it was the last card that I scratched that was the winner," recalled Sears.  "I was just in shock.  I thought I was seeing things."

Sears said she was thrilled about the win and plans to use the money to pay some bills and to pay off her truck.  She already has plans to use her vacation this summer visiting family.

"Ruby Red 7’s" is a $5 game with a top prize of $77,000.  The game began on May 3 and has several top prizes remaining.
