Bolivar Man Wins Dodge Viper In Lottery Promotion
A Bolivar man is the third and final winner of a 2008 Dodge® Viper® SRT10 Coupe plus $500 in the Missouri Lottery’s "Muscle Up" promotion. William “Bill” Malloy’s entry was selected to win the grand prize in a drawing held on June 19.
Malloy said he found out about his win when he received a letter in the mail from the Missouri Lottery.
"I was surprised as heck," he said. “It sure came at a convenient time.”
Malloy, who is retired, decided to take the cash option of the prize, which is $90,845 tax paid.* He said he plans to use some of his prize money to help some of his grandchildren and to “set some back” for his future. He may also use some prize money for an Alaskan cruise.
In addition to Malloy’s prize, five players won a trip to their favorite beach plus $500 spending money, and 30 players won $500.
The "Muscle Up" promotion began on March 29. Players could enter by submitting $10 worth of any combination of the three eligible Scratchers tickets for this promotion. The eligible games were: "Big Money," a $5 game; "Winning Fever," a $2 game; and "Cold Hard Cash," a $1 game.
Through each of the three "Muscle Up" drawings, one 2008 Dodge® Viper® SRT10 Coupe, five beach trips and 30 prizes of $500 were awarded.
Winners of the Viper could choose between receiving the car or its cash option, which is $90,845 tax paid.
