Ballwin Man Uncovers $10,000 On His Birthday

It was an especially happy birthday for Damir Okanovic when he uncovered a $10,000 prize in the Missouri Lottery Scratchers game "$250,000 Mega Cash."  Okanovic, 35, said that his heart was pumping fast when he saw what he had won.

Okanovic, who is a carpenter at Cabinets, Floors & More in St. Louis, went to lunch with his brother, Mehmed, for his birthday.   When he scratched off the ticket and realized how much he had won, he looked at his brother, and said "I can’t believe it."

"I might put a good down payment on a new car," Okanovic said of his plans for his money.

Okanovic purchased his "$250,000 Mega Cash" Scratchers ticket at Schnucks, 1020 Loughborough in St. Louis.

The $10 game, "$250,000 Mega Cash," began on Jan. 31.
