Columbia Woman Wins $10,000 Lottery Prize

Story Photo A Columbia woman can pay off one of her cars after she won a $10,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery "Ruby Red 7’s" Scratchers ticket.  Paula Kribbs, 58, said she bought four $5 tickets on June 22 at Casey’s, 2520 Range Line St. in Columbia, after dreaming of four fives.

"I stopped off at Casey’s to get a soda and bought four $5 tickets after dreaming of four fives," she said.  "I went out to my car and scratched off the first two and didn’t get anything.  I scratched off about half of the third and got nervous, so I went back into the store to have the clerk check it."

Kribbs, who works at Candlelight LODGE in Columbia, said she and her husband, Dennis, plan to use the prize money to pay off one of the cars, maybe go on a little vacation and put the rest in the bank.  “I might go and buy a pair of shorts.  Maybe two pair,” said Kribbs.

"Ruby Red 7’s," a $5 game, officially began on May 3.
