Arkansas Man Is Newest Lottery Millionaire
Dane Adams of Paragould, Ark., is $1 million richer after uncovering the second-level prize on a Missouri Lottery "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers ticket.
Adams, 41, purchased a few Scratchers tickets on May 21 at Mr. T’s Liquor Store, 510 U.S. Highway 412 in Cardwell. He went home to do some watering in his yard and scratched the tickets when he took a break. He won $20 on the first ticket and $25 on the second ticket. The third ticket turned out to be the big winner worth $1 million
"I’m trying to let it sink in," Adams said when he claimed his prize the next day.
"It will take care of my 13-year-old son," said Adams, who owns a screen-printing and embroidery shop.
Adams’ ticket is the fourth $1 million prize won in the "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers game and the sixth ticket in the game worth at least $1 million. Adams is the Missouri Lottery’s 29th instant millionaire and the 253rd millionaire winner overall since the Lottery began in 1986.
"4 Million Cash Bonanza
," a $20 game, officially began on Jan. 26. It is the Lottery’s first $20 game and offers the highest prize payout ever on a Scratchers game. It includes four $4 million prizes and 16 $1 million prizes.
