Doniphan Man Wins Dodge Viper In Lottery Promotion
Daniel Sanders, Doniphan, became the second Missouri Lottery player to win a 2008 Dodge® Viper® SRT10 Coupe plus $500 in the "Muscle Up" promotion. Sanders’ entry was selected to win the grand prize in a drawing held on May 22.
Sanders, 21, said a friend of his father called the morning after the drawing to say that he was listed as the grand-prize winner on Molottery.com. Sanders’ father verified that he was the winner and woke him to tell him the good news.
"I’m still in shock," Sanders said when he claimed his prize on May 28.
Sanders, a farmer, took the cash option of the prize, which is $90,845 tax paid.* He said he plans to invest his prize money. Sanders is also considering purchasing a restored Ford Ranchero from the ’70s and taking a trip to Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Ark.
In addition to Sanders’ prize, five players won a trip to their favorite beach plus $500 spending money, and 30 players won $500.
The "Muscle Up" promotion began on March 29. Players can enter by submitting $10 worth of any combination of the three eligible Scratchers tickets for this promotion. The eligible games are: "Big Money," a $5 game; "Winning Fever," a $2 game; and "Cold Hard Cash," a $1 game. Players can enter as often as they like.
