Sedalia Woman Wins $7,101 Lottery Prize

Story Photo Milissa Lewis of Otterville won $7,101 playing Club Keno on May 22 when seven of the numbers drawn matched the numbers on her seven-spot game to win the $5,000 base prize plus the progressive jackpot.  Lewis’ winning numbers were 2, 6, 10, 13, 20, 76 and 77.  She used her birthday and boyfriend’s birthday and her favorite number to select the winning combination.

Lewis, 31, purchased her winning ticket at Sedalia Shrine Club, 1605 Elm Hills Blvd. in Sedalia on May 22.

"I don’t play very much," Lewis said.  "I’ve never won anything.  We all (at the Sedalia Shrine Club) jumped up and down for awhile."

Lewis, who has two sons, is closing on her first house on June 13 and plans to use her prize money to help with the closing costs.

"(The boys) will get their own rooms," Lewis said.

The Progressive jackpot feature started on Jan. 16.  Club Keno players who play the six-, seven- and eight-spot games are automatically eligible - with no additional costs - to win the extra Progressive jackpot prize.  If the jackpot is not won during the drawing, it will continue to grow until it is won.  The Progressive jackpot is pari-mutuel, so players will share the jackpot, based on the amount and the number of winning shares in each prize category.
