Arkansas Man Uncovers $25,000 Instant Lottery Prize

Story Photo A Centerton, Ark., man said paying for gas during his vacation will be a little easier now after he won $25,000 playing the Missouri Lottery Scratchers game "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza."  Gary McWilliams, 60, said he and his wife, Linda, had already planned their vacation for a little later this summer, but were dreading the soaring gasoline prices.
"It’s going to be better now," McWilliams said.  "We’re going to Tennessee to visit our son.  (The prize money) will make it a lot easier."

Linda McWilliams purchased the winning ticket May 17 at Macadoodle’s Market, 53 Macadoodle Lane in Pineville.

"I was out fishing when she bought the tickets," McWilliams said.  "When I got home, we were sitting on the patio, and we each scratched a few.  I scratched this one, and I told (Linda), ’This ticket has winners all over it.’"

In addition to helping to pay for vacation expenses, McWilliams said he is planning to use his prize money to pay down the loan on their home.

The $20 "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers game officially began on Jan. 26.
