Rogersville Woman Wins $30,000 Instantly

A Rogersville woman celebrated Mother’s Day by giving gifts to her children after she won $30,000 instantly playing the Missouri Lottery Scratchers game "Fast 50’s."  Marcella McGrail, 41, purchased her winning ticket on May 9 at Bill’s Quick Mart, 20 Glendale Dr. in Rogersville.  

McGrail said she scratched the ticket before she left the business.

"I was just elated," she said.  "I screamed.  My husband was there, too.  I started shaking and crying.  I couldn’t believe it.  I’ve never won anything before."

McGrail, a mother six children, said she and her husband, Glenn, plan to share their winnings with their six children and other family members.  McGrail also said that she and Glenn had planned a trip to St. Louis to watch a concert in June.

"I may be able to buy my husband a backstage pass now," she added

"Fast 50’s," a $2 game, officially began on Jan. 26, 2008.
