Hallsville Man Uncovers $20,000 Prize

A Hallsville man uncovered a $20,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery “Big Bang Bucks” Scratchers ticket. Stephen "Steve" Clark, 50, said he purchased the winning ticket on May 4 during his normal stop at Ed’s Quik Stop, 13101 N. Route B in Hallsville, after church to buy a newspaper and a Lottery ticket.
Clark said he scratched the ticket at home and thought at first that it was worth $20.
"I was happy with the $20," he told Lottery officials when he claimed his prize on May 5. "But then I kept scratching more zeros. I couldn’t believe it."
Clark, who is a sheet metal worker with Local 36, said he and his wife, Melody, plan to put their winnings into a "nest egg" for now.
"
Big Bang Bucks," a $2 game, officially began on May 3.
