Macon Man Uncovers $100,000 Top Lottery Prize

Story Photo Jesse Simons, Macon, and his friend were shopping in Columbia on April 28 when he decided to buy one "Big Money" Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket.  Simons, 67, bought the ticket at QuikTrip, 3211 Clark Lane in Columbia.  He scratched it off in the parking lot and uncovered the game’s $100,000 top prize.

"I started shaking," Simons said when he claimed his prize later that day.  "It hasn’t set in yet."
Simons said he doesn’t have any plans for his prize money yet.

"It will come in handy, I’m sure," he said.

"Big Money," a $5 game, officially began on March 29.
