Lottery Proceeds of $26.1 Million Sent To Public Education
The Missouri Lottery today transferred $26.1 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education programs. The April proceeds transfer of $26,107,152 was based on March ticket sales and brings the total transferred in fiscal year 2008 to more than $219.8 million.
Since the Lottery began nearly 22 years ago, it has generated more than $3.1 billion in proceeds for the state, including public education.
