Independence Man Uncovers $1 Million Lottery Prize
Charles Purl, Independence, is the Missouri Lottery’s newest millionaire after uncovering a $1 million second-level prize in the "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers game. Purl’s ticket is the second $1 million winner in the game from the Kansas City area and the third $1 million winner in the game overall.
Purl, 65, purchased his winning ticket at 24 Hi-way Thriftway, 1000 W. 24 Highway in Independence.
Purl’s ticket is the 27th instant winner worth $1 million or more and the 250th overall winner of at least $1 million. The $20 "
