Dadeville Man Wins $25,000 Instantly

A Dadeville 911 operator is $25,000 richer after uncovering the prize on a Missouri Lottery "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers ticket.  James "Darrin" Humbird, 42, bought the $20 Scratchers ticket on March 22 at Hot Spot, 515 W. College in Greenfield.
"I thought it was probably a free ticket," Humbird said about realizing he had won a prize.
He was excited to see that his prize was worth much more than a free ticket - $25,000.
"It took about a day for me to realize it," Humbird said.  "I had two other people look at (the ticket)."
Humbird said he plans to save his prize money "for a rainy day."  He said his three-year-old son has been wanting a motorcycle, so he also plans to buy him one with some of the money.
The $20 "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers game, which officially began on Jan. 26, offers four top prizes of $4 million and 16 prizes wroth $1 million.
