Bucklin Couple Win $30,000 Instantly

Story Photo A Bucklin couple recently claimed a $30,000 top prize in the Missouri Lottery’s “Fast $50s” Scratchers game.  Richard Coram, 37, bought three Scratchers tickets with money he won playing Powerball.  He redeemed his Powerball prize and purchased the tickets at Break Time, 508 S. Main St. in Brookfield.
While eating dinner, Richard and his wife, Debra, scratched off the three tickets and discovered that one of them was worth $30,000.
The Corams, who are both employed at Walsworth Publishing Co. in Marceline, plan to use their prize money to pay bills and start a college fund for their son.  They may also buy a new refrigerator, a new chair and put some money in a retirement account.
"Fast $50s," a $2 Scratchers game, officially began on Jan. 26.
