Columbia Trust Claims Half of $1.7 Million Lotto Jackpot
The winning Lotto ticket from the March 12 drawing purchased at Casey’s, 2520 Range Line St. in Columbia, was claimed on March 17. RNC and MRC 2008 Revocable Trust, Columbia, claimed the $850,000 prize. There were two winning tickets that matched all six numbers drawn on March 12 to split the $1.7 million Lotto jackpot. A Park Hills man claimed the other half of the prize. Each winner receives $850,000 before taxes if they choose the annuity and $425,000 before taxes if they choose the lump sum payment.
The winning numbers on the ticket purchased by RNC and MRC 2008 Revocable Trust were selected by the computer (Quick Pick). The winning numbers were: 1, 8, 17, 23, 27 and 37.
In addition to the Trust’s prize, Casey’s in Columbia will receive a check equal to 1 percent of the prize amount, which is $8,500, for selling the winning ticket.
The Trust’s prize is the 174th Lotto jackpot and the 249th overall jackpot since the Lottery began in 1986.
