St. Louis Area Co-Workers Win $200,000 Powerball Prize

A group of 23 co-workers from Savvis Inc. in Town and Country are celebrating after they won $200,000 playing the Missouri Lottery’s Powerball game.  One of the tickets the group purchased matched the five white-ball numbers drawn during the March 12 Powerball drawing.   The co-workers will receive approximately $8,695 each prior to taxes being withheld.
Randy Hurst, St. Charles, the organizer of the group, said although members of the group vary, several of them have been buying tickets together for about two years.  Hurst said he sent an e-mail out to the members of the group on March 12 following the drawing to inform them of their win.
"Everybody was talking about it the next morning," Hurst, 42, said.  "It was big news."
In addition to Hurst, the lucky group of co-workers includes:  Kyle Mertz, Arnold; Juanita Bergman, Gregory Snider and Christopher Nugent, all of Ballwin; Jenny Bartlow, Chesterfield; Wayne Tenenbaum, Creve Couer; Christina Fitzgibbons, Fenton; Jennifer Block, Lake St. Louis; Craig Mertz, Manchester; David Young, Millstadt, Ill.; Ramesh Rhaamohan, Royersford, Pa.; Janakiram Bandi, St. Charles; Sally Caputo (63119)*, David Heilig (63146)*, Godfrey Kisanga (63132)*, Natalie Simonson (63116)* and David Fonner (63122)*, all of St. Louis; Wayne Estep, Troy, Ill.; Katherine Barnes and Tavaref Tartt, both of Wentzville; and Deborah Patterson and Robert Foley, both of Webster Groves.
