Wellsville Man Wins $10,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo A Wellsville man is $10,000 richer after he won the third-level Powerball prize on March 12 when his ticket matched four of five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number.
Martin Ahrens, 47, purchased his winning ticket at Fast Lane McStop, 3259 County Road 211 in Kingdom City.  He used Quick Pick to let the computer select his numbers.  His winning numbers were:  12, 19, 30, 36 and the Powerball number was 8.
Ahrens watched the Powerball drawing on March 12 and knew that he had matched at least two white-ball numbers and the Powerball number.  He was at work the next day when he learned that he had won the $10,000 prize.
"He called and told me he won $10,000, and I didn’t believe it," said Cheryl Ahrens, Martin Ahrens’ wife.
Martin Ahrens said he and Cheryl were planning to go out to celebrate his win.  He’s also thinking about purchasing a new truck with his prize money.
