Two Powerball Tickets Worth $200,000 Sold in Missouri

Two Missouri Powerball tickets purchased for the March 12 drawing matched all five white-ball numbers to win the game’s second-level prize of $200,000.  The winning tickets were purchased at:  Country Club Express, 17195 Chesterfield Airport in Chesterfield, and Wise Stop, 11966 Highway 86 in Neosho.
The Powerball jackpot for the March 15 drawing is now estimated at $275 million, the seventh highest jackpot prize ever offered in the game.
"There’s always a lot of excitement that comes with a big jackpot prize," said Susan Goedde, communications manager for the Missouri Lottery.  "But players need to remember to play within their means, and that it only takes a $1 to win.
"It is fun to dream about winning a big jackpot, but players need to remember that Lottery games are intended to be a form of entertainment," Goedde said.
Goedde said people who plan to buy a ticket for the March 15 Powerball drawing should plan to do so early to avoid long lines.  Powerball tickets will be sold at retail locations across Missouri until 8:59 p.m. on March 15.  The multi-state Powerball drawing is held in Des Moines, Iowa, at 9:59 p.m. Central Time.
