Two St. Louis women each have $50,000 more for their holiday shopping after matching all five numbers in SHOW ME 5 Paydown. Kathleen Wiggins, St. Louis (63114**), and Evelyn Harris, University City, each received a $50,000 tax-paid* top prize playing the Missouri Lottery’s SHOW ME 5 Paydown game. Wiggins, 60, plans to use the money to buy a pre-owned car, save for retirement and give some to her six grown children for Christmas. Wiggins, a housekeeper, had her daughter purchase her winning ticket for the Dec. 9 drawing at 7-Eleven, 8290 St. Charles Rock Road in Charlack. She used a set of numbers she had previously gotten on a Quick Pick lottery ticket. Those numbers were: 1, 3, 10, 14 and 36. Harris, a manager at the Drury Airport Hotel, plans to buy her three adult children some "nice Christmas gifts" and invest some of the money. Harris purchased her winning ticket for the Dec. 17 drawing at On Broadway Liquor, 5026 N. Broadway in St. Louis. She used a combination of her husband’s favorite numbers to pick the winning numbers. They were: 8, 11, 19, 29 and 30. *The Missouri Lottery will pay 28 percent federal and 4 percent state withholding taxes for the top prize based on its value. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may be entitled to a refund. Total value of the top prize is $73,529.41. After withholding, winners will receive $50,000. If more than 14 players match the five winning numbers in a single drawing, $1 million will be divided equally among the number of winning tickets. ** winner’s zip code to determine coverage area
