St. Louis Sales Broker Wins $200,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo Antoinette "Toni" Bell, St. Louis (63109), is planning to pay off her car after winning a $200,000 Missouri Lottery prize when her five white-ball numbers matched the numbers drawn in the Feb. 27 Powerball drawing.  Bell’s winning numbers were 20, 24, 37, 48 and 53.
Bell, 21, stopped on her way to work on Feb. 28 to get a newspaper and to check her ticket.  At first, she thought it was a $200 winner, so she took it to the clerk to claim her prize.  The clerk surprised Bell by explaining that she would have to claim the prize at a Lottery office because of the amount.
Bell, a sales broker, bought her winning ticket at 7-Eleven, 5350 Chippewa in St. Louis.  She used Quick Pick to let the computer select her numbers.
In addition to paying off her car, Bell plans to go on vacation with her family.
"They were talking about going to Mexico before I won," Bell said.
Bell’s ticket was the 90th second-level winning Powerball ticket in Missouri since the game redesign in Aug. 2005.
