Higbee Woman Wins Top Lottery Prize
Glenda Beal, Higbee, is planning to buy her 10-year-old twin boys dirt bikes for their birthday after winning the $250,000 top prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "$250,000 Mega Cash" Scratchers game.
"I told her a long time ago we’d win on that game," said Ben Beal, Glenda Beal’s husband.
Beal purchased her ticket on Feb. 8 at Ice House, 1730 S. Morley St. in Moberly. She bought three "$250,000 Mega Cash" tickets and scratched them off in her van in the parking lot. She didn’t win on the first ticket and won $10 on the second ticket. On the third ticket, she revealed the top prize.
This is not the first big prize Beal has won. In March 2006, she won $20,000 on a Scratchers ticket. She used the money as a down payment to buy a bar in Macon - Ace of Clubs. Beal plans to use some of her prize money from her latest win to pay bills and work on the bar.
"
$250,000 Mega Cash," a $10 game, officially began on Jan. 31, 2007. Beal’s prize is the 17th top prize of $250,000 to be awarded of the 30 total in the game.
