Wentzville Woman Wins $200,000 Playing Powerball

A Wentzville woman said people at the grocery store had to wonder why two adult women were dancing in the produce isle. Mary Ramage and a friend went to the store on Jan. 31 to check her Powerball ticket. When she scanned the ticket and it read that the ticket was worth $200,000, she and her friend started dancing.
"We just couldn’t help it," Ramage said. "It is so exciting."
Ramage’s $2 ticket matched the five white-ball numbers drawn during the Jan. 30 Powerball drawing. She purchased her winning ticket at U-Gas Hwy. Z, 1197 Highway Z in Wentzville. She let the computer select her winning numbers, which were: 2, 17, 41, 54 and 55.
Ramage said she checked the winning numbers on the Lottery’s Web site, Molottery.com, and saw that her ticket matched five numbers. To verify the win, she and a friend went to a nearby grocery store.
"I called my husband and my mother," Ramage said. "My husband didn’t believe me. He thought I was joking."
Ramage said she and her husband, Jim, plan to use the prize money to pay off bills and take their two children on a family vacation, possibly to Walt Disney World.
Ramage’s ticket was the 86th second-level winning
Powerball ticket since the game redesign on Aug. 28, 2005.
