Rosebud Woman Receives Birthday Present Worth $20,000

Story Photo A Rosebud woman received an early birthday present from her husband when he handed her a Missouri Lottery "Lifetime Riches" Scratchers ticket worth $20,000.  Patricia Hoevelmann, 51, said she had been having a hectic weekend, but got some reprieve when her husband, Jim, called her on Feb. 2 and told her about the $20,000 win.
"I gave it to her," Jim Hoevelmann said.  "It’s an early birthday present, and she deserves it."
Patricia Hoevelmann, who works for BJC Home Care Services in Sullivan, said the winning ticket was a great present.  Her birthday is later this month.
"His birthday is March 3, so I think I’ll share it with him," she said about Jim.
Jim Hoevelmann purchased the winning ticket on Feb. 2 at Rosebud General Store, 248 Highway 50 in Rosebud.
The Hoevelmanns said they plan to use their winnings to pay off some bills and maybe find a few fun ways to use it, too.
"Lifetime Riches," a $10 game, officially began on April 22, 2006.
