Moberly Nurse Wins $10,000 Instantly

Story Photo Sarah Seldal, Moberly, is planning to purchase a different vehicle after uncovering $10,000 playing the Missouri Lottery Scratchers game "Lifetime Riches."
"It’s his (her husband’s) fault," Seldal said when she claimed her prize.
Seldal explained that she was with her husband, Bill, at Community Lanes, 1616 N. Morley in Moberly, for a bowling tournament on Feb. 3.  Seldal, 34, said she played a few Scratchers tickets while her husband was bowling.  She wanted to play one more ticket, so she asked Bill Seldal for $5.  He had a $10 bill, so she decided to play a $10 "Lifetime Riches" ticket.
"I about had a heart attack," Sarah Seldal said about realizing how much she had won.
"We made sure our eyes weren’t playing tricks on us," Bill Seldal said.  "She wouldn’t have won if I had had a $5 bill.  Somebody else would have gotten that ticket."
The Seldal’s have four children, so they plan to purchase a vehicle that will fit the whole family.  Sarah Seldal, a nurse, said that she and Bill also plan to go out for a nice steak dinner to celebrate.
The $10 game "Lifetime Riches" officially began on April 22, 2006.
