Macks Creek Man Wins $25,000 Lottery Prize

Story Photo A stop for gas on Feb. 3 turned out to be a lucrative trip for a Macks Creek man who won $25,000 instantly playing the Missouri Lottery’s "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers game.  Larry Pennington, 61, was driving his wife, Diane, to work when he stopped to buy gas at Jiffy Stop, 641 W. Highway 54 in Camdenton.  While there, he purchased a $20 "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers ticket.
Pennington, who is retired, scratched the ticket off in his car.
"We ran back in to give the cashier a big hug," said Diane Pennington.  "We had her double check it for us, too."
The Penningtons plan to use their winnings to help their daughter relocate to Florida and to build a new deck and buy new carpet for their own home.
The $20 "4 Million Dollar Cash Bonanza" Scratchers game, which officially began on Jan. 26, offers four top prizes of $4 million and 16 prizes of $1 million.
