Festus Man Wins $200,000 Powerball Prize

A Festus man is $200,000 richer after his Powerball ticket matched the five white-ball numbers drawn during the Jan. 9 Powerball drawing.  Michael Pierce, 43, won the game’s second-level prize with a ticket he purchased at De Soto Food and Fuel Mart, 12405 Highway 21 in De Soto.
Pierce let the computer select the winning numbers on his $1 ticket.  The winning numbers were:  2, 13, 20, 21 and 23. 
Pierce’s ticket was one of two purchased in the St. Louis area for the Jan. 9 drawing that matched the five white-ball numbers.  A group of 33 co-workers from General Motors in St. Louis claimed the other prize.  Their winning ticket was purchased at Schnucks Market, 74 Grandview Plaza Shopping Center in Florissant.
