De Soto Woman Wins Top Lottery Prize

A De Soto woman is planning to share some prize money with her family after uncovering the top prize playing the Missouri Lottery’s "$250,000 Mega Cash" Scratchers game.  Alice Wideman, 68, bought the ticket on Jan. 22 at BP Amoco, 3201 Papin Road in De Soto.
Wideman had a winning Scratchers ticket worth $20.  She went to BP Amoco and cashed it for two $10 "$250,000 Mega Cash" tickets and purchased one additional "$250,000 Mega Cash" ticket.  That extra ticket turned out to be the big winner.
"I was so excited," Wideman said.  "I couldn’t believe it.  I still can’t believe it."
Wideman plans to save some of the prize money and share the rest with their three children.
"I’m going to make them happy," Wideman said.  "Everybody’s going to be so excited."
"$250,000 Mega Cash," a $10 game, officially began on Jan. 31, 2007.
