Park Hills Man Uncovers Top Lottery Prize

Story Photo It’s shaping up to be a happy new year for Robert Henderson, Park Hills, after he uncovered the top prize on a Missouri Lottery "Crossword" Scratchers ticket. Henderson, 52, is excited about "no bills for the new year" after winning the $50,000 prize.
"I was in a state of shock," Henderson said about discovering his win. Henderson purchased his ticket on Dec. 27 at Casey’s, 805 Benham St. in Bonne Terre. He took the ticket home and scratched it right away. He didn’t believe he had won the $50,000 top prize, so he took the ticket back to the store to have it checked.
Henderson, who works at Dow Chemicals in Pevely, plans to pay off his bills with some of his prize money and invest the rest of it.
"Crossword," a $3 game, officially began on Sept. 1.
