Centralia Woman Uncovers $10,000 Lottery Prize

Linda Sims, Centralia, is $10,000 richer after uncovering the prize on a "Money Tripler" Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Sims, 52, is planning to use some of her prize money to help her daughter in Mississippi, who was displaced due to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Sims bought her ticket on Dec. 26 at D.C.’s West, 204 W. Switzler in Centralia. She scratched the ticket at the store and revealed 10 prizes of $1,000. Sims said she was shocked to see the $10,000 prize, and she called her husband, Steve, from the store.
In addition to helping her daughter in Mississippi, Sims plans to use the rest of her prize money to pay bills.
"Money Tripler," a $2 game, officially began on July 14.
