Raymondville Man Wins Top Prize A Second Time

Story Photo A Raymondville man is surprised by his luck – winning a $100,000 prize on June 25 and winning a $250,000 on Nov. 29. Matthew Aguirre, 28, said he was amazed when he saw he had won $250,000 playing the Missouri Lottery’s Scratchers game "$250,000 Mega Cash."
"I really didn’t think I won," Aguirre said. "I thought, ’It can’t be right.’"
Aguirre, who is employed with the Missouri Department of Corrections and is a meat cutter at Cummins Custom Meats in Licking, said he used the $100,000 to pay off his house and to pay off his bills. He plans to use the $250,000 to pay a few little bills and put the rest in the bank.
He purchased both of his winning tickets at Corner Express, 211 S. Highway 63 in Licking.
"It is really pretty amazing," Aguirre said about his two wins. "My girlfriend just acted like, ’Oh well,’ like it was just expected. I still can’t believe it."
The $10 game, "$250,000 Mega Cash," officially began on Jan. 31, 2007.
