Galena Man Wins Top Lottery Prize

Story Photo A Galena man and his family are looking forward to the holidays after he won $100,000 playing the Missouri Lottery’s "$100,000 Jackpot" Scratchers game. Tracy Chase, 37, purchased his winning ticket on Nov. 6 at Fuel-R-Up Convenience Store, 21209 Main St. Highway 13 in Reeds Spring.
Chase, a carpenter, said he stopped by Fuel-R-Up Convenience Store to get some coffee and to visit with friends on his way to work. While there, he purchased a "$100,000 Jackpot" Scratchers ticket, and scratched it off. Chase won 10 $10,000 prizes on the same ticket to win the game’s top prize, $100,000.
"I didn’t believe I won the first $10,000, much less the other nine $10,000 prizes," Chase said.
Chase said he and his wife, Kristie, plan to use his winnings to pay bills and enjoy the holidays with their family.
The $5 game, "$100,000 Jackpot," officially began on July 1, 2006.
