Lake Area Man Wins $10,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo A Gravois Mills man and his family are looking forward to the holidays after he won $10,000 on Oct. 20 when his Powerball ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number to win the game’s third-level prize. William Jennemann said he and his wife, Rosy, are looking forward to spending the holidays with their family after winning the prize.
"The kids and the grandkids are really excited about me winning. They know the holidays are coming up," Jennemann said with a laugh when he claimed his prize on Oct. 29.
In addition to having a fun holiday, Jennemann, 60, said he and Rosy also plan to use their winnings to pay off a few debts and put the rest into the bank.
Jennemann, who is semi-retired, purchased his winning ticket at Lake Oasis Convenience Store, 114 N. Main in Laurie. He let the computer Quick Pick his winning numbers. Jennemann’s four winning white-ball numbers were: 10, 37, 40 and 54, and the Powerball number was 10.
