Carthage Man Wins Trip to Hollywood

Mike Shoemaker, Carthage, is the second winner of the grand prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "Deal or No Deal" promotion. Shoemaker won the top prize of a trip for four to Hollywood and a chance to play the real Deal or No Deal game.
Shoemaker’s prize includes transportation, hotel accommodations and $500 spending cash. He will attend a Deal or No Deal game where contestants will be randomly selected for a chance to play the game with Howie, the models and the Banker. Contestants who get to play the game can win up to $1 million, and all contestants will be guaranteed to win at least $5,000.
In addition to Shoemaker’s prize, five other Lottery players won a $1,000 cash prize.
The "Deal or No Deal" promotion began on Sept. 1. Players can submit one non-winning $5 "Deal or No Deal" Scratchers ticket as an entry into the promotion and can enter as often as they like. There will be four more drawings held in the promotion. One grand-prize trip to Hollywood with a chance to play the real Deal or No Deal game will be awarded in each drawing. Five first prizes of $1,000 cash also will be awarded in each drawing. The next drawing deadline is Oct. 30, and the drawing will be held on Nov. 7.
