St. Louis Cafe Worker Cooks Up $77,000

A St. Louis man, who works at his family’s restaurant, is $77,000 richer after scratching off the top prize on a Lucky 7’s Scratchers ticket. Minh Ngyen of St. Louis was buying a few things at Schnuck’s Market, 1020 Loughborough in St. Louis (63111), and decided to spend the ten dollars he had left over on some Lottery tickets. After discovering the top prize in the game, he rushed to his family’s restaurant, Rex’s Cafe, to tell them the news. His cousin Jay accompanied Ngyen to the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office to claim his prize.
Although he plays the Lottery regularly, this is the first large prize Ngyen has claimed. He plans to share the money with his family, wife and two children.
"Lucky 7’s" is a $5 game with a top prize of $77,000. The game officially began on July 14.
