Mexico Woman Uncovers $10,000
A Mexico woman is $10,000 richer after she uncovered the prize on a Missouri Lottery "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" Scratchers ticket. Rebecca "Becky" Paddock, 48, said she bought the ticket after she got off work at Break Time, 1411 W. Monroe in Mexico on Sept. 20. She bought one $10 "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" ticket and one $5 "Money Madness" ticket. She scratched off the $5 ticket in the car in the parking lot, and it was not a winner. Next she began to scratch the $10 ticket and realized, after uncovering just some of the play area, that it was a big winner. But it wasn’t until she went home and finished scratching it completely that she learned it was worth $10,000.
"I’ll pay off a couple of bills and put a little back for a vacation," she said.
Paddock said she and her husband, Dennis, plan to travel to Oregon to visit her brother. They also plan to take a "roadtrip" to North Carolina to "see the ocean." Paddock said she has never seen the Atlantic Ocean.
This is the second big prize Paddock has won recently. She claimed a $1,000 prize from the "Money Madness" Scratchers game on Sept. 17.
"$100 Million Cash Spectacular," a $10 game, officially began on Sept. 10, 2005.
