Pacific Woman Wins $60,000 Tax Paid in Missouri Lottery Promotion

Story Photo Deborah Greenhill, Pacific, is $60,000* richer after matching game pieces in the Missouri Lottery’s "Happy Days of Summer" promotion. Greenhill matched the letters R, I, D and E to spell the word "ride" in the collect-and-win part of the "Happy Days of Summer" promotion. Her completed word won her the first prize in the promotion - a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette or a 2007 Forest River Sunseeker RV. Greenhill, 43, chose the cash option of $60,000.
"I’m not sure when I got (the game piece)," Greenhill said. "I just had them in my purse. I went through my purse that day, scratched them off and saw it."
Greenhill plans to use her prize money for a down payment on a new home.
Several prizes remain in the collect-and-win part of the summer promotion. Two top prizes of a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette or a 2007 Sunseeker RV remain to be claimed. In addition to the top prize, there are six Walt Disney World or Hawaii trips still up for grabs, and more than 60 prizes of $2,000 cash to purchase electronics still remain. Thousands of prizes of $20 worth of Scratchers tickets also remain to be claimed.
