Wappapello Grandmother Wins $5,002 Lottery Prize

Story Photo Linda Camden, Wappapello, is planning to help her dad with repairs after winning $5,002 instantly. Camden’s father, Ed Smallman, purchased her winning Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket at Casey’s, 1108 Independence in Kennett, on Sept. 8. He took the "Cash Corner Bingo" ticket to his daughter as a gift, and the first thing she did after uncovering her prize was to call her dad.
"I didn’t believe it at first," Smallman said.
"Everybody was excited," said Kathryn Smallman, Camden’s mother.
Camden is planning to help her dad fix his car and his ceiling since he bought the ticket for her. She’s also planning to use some of her prize money when she goes on her honeymoon to Washington in November.
"We’ve been married three years, and we’re just getting around to going on a honeymoon," Camden said.
"Cash Corner Bingo," a $2 game, officially began on July 14.
