A truck driver from Dexter is planning to make some repairs to his house and car after winning $25,000 tax paid* in the Missouri Lottery’s SHOW ME 5 game on Oct. 7. Edward Chip, 75, purchased his winning ticket the same day at Amerimart, 821 Arvin Road in Dexter, when he stopped for gas. He picked his winning numbers "out of the blue." They were: 3, 4, 15, 25 and 29. To date, 912 tickets worth $25,000 tax paid have been sold since the game began in November 1994. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may receive a refund.
