Curryville Woman Wins $5,000 Lottery Prize

Story Photo Monica Daniels, Curryville, is $5,000 richer after uncovering the prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Daniels, 42, went to Joe’s Jug, 3500 W. Georgia St. in Louisiana, on Aug. 17 to buy her daughter a soda and decided to buy one "Blazin’ Hot Bucks" Scratchers ticket. She scratched the ticket right away and revealed the $5,000 prize.
"I thought, ’This just can’t be right,’" Daniels said.
Daniels plans to use her prize money to buy school clothes for her kids and to take a trip. The $5 game,
"Blazin’ Hot Bucks," officially began on March 1.
