WRIGHT CITY MAN WINS $25,000 TAX PAID

A Wright City man is $25,000 richer after matching all five numbers in the Oct. 6 SHOW ME 5 drawing. Haymond Harris, 45, said he plans to give some of the tax-paid* windfall to his church, spend some on his four kids and save the rest. Harris purchased his winning ticket at Shell, 7 N.E. Outer Road in Wright City. He selected the winning numbers - 5, 11, 12, 15 and 17 - at random. To date, 912 tickets worth $25,000 tax paid have been sold since the game began in November 1994. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may receive a refund.
